Moja Tu

Anisha’s Example

Anisha has almost finished class 6, where she has amazed us with her great performance. She kept her grades steady at a B+ average, and hopes to push her grades up into an A in this last term of 2019. During her holiday, she will be staying at Dream Children’s Home with her younger brother, helping with chores and enjoying some well-earned rest and relaxation. Anisha and her brother will also be joined by the rest of the Moja Tu students for our final tutoring session of the year. They can’t wait to catch up with all their friends from around the Kenya.

Anisha is a member of her school’s “Chipukizi” club, a Swahili word meaning “emerging”. This club trains the young leaders of the future in vital skills such as active listening and setting a good example for others. Anisha joined her fellow club members on a recent trip to Tanzania. She stunned her school administration with her excellent attitude, and was awarded the title of class prefect in response to her great behavior on the trip.

Anisha is a very trustworthy young girl; in addition to becoming the class prefect, she has also retained the title of school librarian for the past few years. In this role, Anisha opens the library, keeps track of all books, and ensures that everything is in its place before closing the library. Her love of books and dedication to her job has proven to her school administration time and time again that she is the right person for the job.

Anisha may be young, but it’s never too early to start taking your education seriously. Anisha has demonstrated her love of school and desire to improve her life with education countless times, and we are so excited for the future she has already begun building for herself. We will continue to support Anisha throughout each step of her academic journey. Go, Anisha, go!
